Meet Finny, a confident, outgoing and very handsome young pup with stunning crystal-coloured eyes and a personality as big as his paws.
Born on 13 April 2026, Finny is an energetic little larrikin who loves life, loves people and loves to play. His foster mum describes him as confident, outgoing and full of fun. He especially enjoys a good game of chasey and has the sort of playful puppy spirit that makes everyone smile.
Finny is also quite the impressive little character. For a puppy, he already has a surprisingly deep bark, which only adds to his “big dog in the making” charm. He has beautiful crystal eyes, a magnificent white chest, white socks on his front feet and the tiniest white tip on the end of his tail. We probably shouldn’t say he is the best-looking pup in the litter — but let’s just say he is a very, very handsome boy.
Finny is best described as an American Bulldog / Staffy-type mix, possibly with Mastiff influence. Like his sisters, he is expected to grow into a strong, substantial adult dog. His new family will need to be committed to raising him properly, with kind guidance, early training, sensible boundaries and good socialisation from the beginning.
Like all puppies, Finny is still learning about the world. He will need help with toilet training, lead training, manners, appropriate play, settling, and learning how to become a well-behaved family member. He is a bright, energetic pup with loads of potential, and in the right home he should grow into a loyal, affectionate and very special companion.
Finny’s ideal home will have secure fencing, plenty of human company and people who understand that a large, confident puppy needs both love and structure. He is not a puppy to be left to grow up alone in the backyard. Finny needs to be included in family life, given indoor privileges, and loved as a true member of the household.
Applicants with experience raising larger dogs will be highly regarded.
Finny is available under ARK’s Deferred Desexing Program, which means his adoption fee covers the cost of desexing, subject to the terms and conditions of the adoption contract. His desexing must be completed when age appropriate.
If you are looking for a confident, playful and affectionate pup with movie-star looks and a wonderfully fun personality, Finny may be the boy for you.
