Mimi's story is one of incredible resilience, courage, and unconditional love. This beautiful calico girl was abandoned on the doorstep of a veterinary clinic alongside her five tiny kittens, desperately needing help. Despite living with significant vision problems, Mimi devoted herself entirely to raising her babies, always putting their needs before her own. ❤️
Since coming into care, Mimi has undergone surgery to remove one eye and corrective surgery on her remaining eye to improve her vision. She is not expected to have any further issues relating to this. With her newfound confidence, she is finally getting the chance to experience what it means to simply be a carefree cat.
Now that all five of her kittens have found loving forever homes, it's finally Mimi's turn to be cherished.
Mimi is a gentle, sweet-natured girl who needs a little patience while she settles into a new environment. Once she learns that she's safe, you'll be rewarded with the loudest purrs imaginable from even the gentlest pat. While naturally a little timid, every day her confidence grows as she discovers the world around her.
These days, Mimi is making up for lost time. She loves chasing ping pong balls across the floor, enthusiastically pouncing on wand toys, and embracing the playful kitten spirit she never had the opportunity to enjoy while raising her family. Watching her confidence blossom has been truly special.
Mimi's devotion as a mother was extraordinary. Even with limited vision, she fiercely protected her kittens whenever they were frightened and lovingly cared for them until they were three and a half months old. Now she deserves a family who will shower her with the same love she gave so selflessly.

Adoption details
Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitment—both emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. We’ll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, we’d love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, we’ll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isn’t the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $350
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a lifetime registration/admin fee of $50 on top of the above adoption price.
