Bobby is a gentle, shy little soul who needs time and patience to feel safe with new people. When first approached, he tends to move away and keep his distance, but he has never shown aggression, just avoidance. Once he’s had a few positive interactions, he warms up quickly and begins to show his sweet, affectionate nature. He gains a lot of confidence from watching another dog interact calmly with people, and although he can be adopted on his own, he does have the ability to live with another friendly dog of similar energy. For adopters wanting a pair, Bobby can also be rehomed with Kylo, the dog he originally came in with.

Shelter life has been stressful for Bobby, especially indoors, where he feels more anxious and unsure. Outside in the yards, however, he becomes a completely different dog, playful, cheeky, and far more willing to engage. He loves exploring, enjoys human company once he trusts you, and even gets the full zoomies when he’s feeling confident. This outdoor freedom helps him relax, and it’s where his true personality shines through.

Bobby is mostly house‑trained at the shelter, though he does occasionally toilet in his pen, something expected to improve in a stable home environment. He can be moderately strong on lead for a smaller dog and will pull if allowed, so he’ll benefit from gentle, consistent guidance. He is not suitable for dog parks or high‑traffic dog areas, as he still needs training and socialisation around unfamiliar dogs. With time, patience, and positive experiences, he has great potential to grow into a more confident companion.
