If you've ever wished for a cat who wants to be involved in absolutely everything you do... congratulations, you've found her.
Opal is a beautiful, affectionate girl who believes life is better when it's shared. Whether you're making dinner, folding washing, working from home or simply walking from one room to another, she'll be right there beside you, chatting away and making sure she's included. Personal space? Opal has never heard of it.
She's fantastic with people, cats and dogs, making her an easy fit for most households. Her favourite things in life are food (seriously... food is everything), cuddles, and launching herself around the house like a tiny furry parkour champion. She also has a bit of a foot obsession, so don't be surprised if your toes become her new best friends!
Opal has a quirky little foot that doesn't slow her down one bit, and she's full of confidence and personality. She doesn't enjoy being left alone or confined to a pen—and she's clever enough to find her own way out if you try!
If you're looking for a cat who will fill your home with conversation, affection and plenty of laughs, Opal is ready to become your loyal little shadow.
Medical notes
Opal does have ongoing dietary requirements and will need a family committed to keeping her on her special diet. She can only eat Hills Science Diet dry food and currently has boiled chicken in place of Hills wet food, as she's not a fan of the taste.
Adoption details
*Please only apply if you reside 4hrs from Shepparton
* You will have a list of questions sent that you need to answer and send back.
* (For dog applications) Photos are requested of your yard, the fencing and any undercover shelter areas (patio/pergola) that must be sent through along with answers to questions.
* It’s not first in best dressed and we pride ourselves in finding the perfect family home for the animals in our care and make sure each family finds the perfect animal as well.
* We feed our cats on Lifewise, bags are available to buy from us.
* We also offer a 2 week trial on all animals that are adopted from this rescue organisation, if returned during this time a refund less 10% is given.
* Meet and greets are always taken prior to adoption, on the day if all goes well and you are happy, you can adopt on the spot and take your animal home to begin the next chapter together. We don't offer more than 1 meet and greet.
*All animals listed on our petrescue page are available for adoption until the moment they are removed

The site is ran by volunteers who also have work commitments and families of their own.
We are a not for profit rescue organisation run in Victoria.
It's all worth it when you are matched with your perfect addition to the family
