Meet Hazel 🐾

Hazel is the definition of a gentle soul. Calm, quiet, and incredibly well-mannered, she is the kind of dog who simply enjoys being close to her people and brings a peaceful presence wherever she goes.

She is fully house trained and has impeccable manners around the home. Hazel won't jump on the furniture (even if invited!), greets you with a gentle wagging tail, and is perfectly content to curl up on her bed while you go about your day. She doesn't bark, jump up, or demand attention, but if you have time for a pat, she'll politely ask for more with the sweetest little paw.

She loves going for car rides, happily relaxing on the back seat, and her favourite treat is peanut butter! She isn't particularly interested in toys, preferring the company of her humans instead. One of her most endearing quirks is the adorable little "good morning" she gives each day—and if you chat back to her, she'll happily continue the conversation.

Hazel enjoys meeting people and has been calm around dogs on walks. She is curious about cats, but we can't be certain how she would behave living with one, so a cat-free home would be the safest option.

Hazel does become a little sad when left on her own and would thrive in a home where someone is around for much of the day, or where she won't be left alone for long hours. She has so much love to give and simply wants to be part of her family's everyday life.

I CAN FLY TO PERTH!

Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to Perth.

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:

1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.

2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.

3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.

4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.

Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchipping and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age.

*Puppies may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee.
