About Herman
layful boy who loves to hear you talk.
Name: Herman
AMK 5058
15.12.25
Male
Desexed
These days Herman has a lot of cat friends that he plays with. He's scared & hissy with new foster kittens, but warms up fairly quickly. So I think with slow introductions, he'd love a cat friend (or more) and would actually do best with other cats.
Herman loves to play. Wrestling with his cat friends, playing chasey, the old grooming session too (especially if he's the cat getting groomed). He's a gentle boy. Tunnels are his favourite, but he'll pretty much play with anything.
I used to talk to him lots to desensitize him, so now he still loves when I talk to him & sometimes sits on my bed & watches tv with me. It's the cutest thing.
He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He just wants to feel safe. I think young kids or too many would freak him out. The best way to approach him is to seem very un-interested in touching him. He craves attention, but if you are over keen, he's going to run. Talk to him, sit next to him, don't rush the touch. He will eventually come to you for pats.
He's been with a large, calm dog & has started to occasionally sleep with her. He wouldn't cope with a more boisterous dog though.
Herman has learnt to trust me. I can pick him up, cuddle with him & he begs me for pats. He's always out where the other cats are. Watching everything. He isn't a cat that hides, he loves life & wants to be in amongst the action. Still wary of other people touching him, even if he knows them. He will run away, but soon comes back.
Herman recently spent some time with a different Foster Family, and it has really helped him to come out of his shell. His confidence has come along in leaps and bounds. Attending Adoption Days has also helped quite a bit.
His adoption fee is $225. This includes all of his Vet work through our supporting Vet, Redlynch Valley Vets. His Vet work is complete.
