About Rufus - 11 Month Old Pomeranian X
Rufus is a tiny 11 month old Pomeranian Oodle X, who weighs around 3 kgs. Rufus is a very timid little boy and will need a quiet home with patience, lots of love and understanding to bring out his true personality.
Rufus is continuing to settle in foster care and making lovely progress. Having had very limited human contact previously he has needed extra care and time to decompress and learn to trust people.
With gradual socialisation, Rufus is revealing his sweet and easy-going nature. Rufus does like the company of dogs, but his preference is people so can be the only dog but he will need the company of someone home often. While he can still be timid when meeting new people, his confidence continues to grow with gentle handling and positive new experiences
Toilet training is progressing well, and he improves more each day. Rufus is thriving and enjoys his fresh food diet, which is helping support his health and recovery and weight gain. Rufus still needs to gain weight before he is ready for his veterinary work, which is scheduled for the end of June. With recovery and weight gain Rufus will not be ready for his new home until mid-July. Until then focus for Rufus is on building his strength, continuing his socialisation, and enjoying life in foster care.

His adoption fee is $1100. He will be desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, ticks and worms, and microchipped.
He is in foster care in Cromer, Sydney, NSW, and is not available for interstate adoption.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
