About Vegemite

A cheeky little shadow who's always plotting her next pounce, chase or game, Vegemite fits a LOT of personality into her tiny panther-esque frame!
You’ll often catch her bright eyes flashing from across the room as she prepares to launch into a new adventure :) She’s endlessly playful, and loves ambushing her brother Marmite before launching into a wrestling match for the best spot in the bed.
While she’s not quite as enthusiastic as Marmite about being held, she’s already showing signs of becoming a real sweetheart - and with a little time and patience, we think she’ll blossom into a delightful cuddle companion!
Like all Maggie’s pets, Marmite is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... is with humans who appreciate silly kitten antics and enjoy interactive play! I'm curious and clever, and love being involved in whatever's happening around me, so a family willing to give me time to settle and build trust is sure to be rewarded with years of loyalty, entertainment and love.
Another friendly feline to play and wrestle with would be amazing too - but my biggest priority is having my humans close by.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a pretty typical kitten, really! I spend my days chasing toys, stalking my brother, zooming around the house, and proudly carrying my favourite toys around in my mouth like my latest hunting trophies.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'll be happiest in an adults-only home, or with gentle and respectful children who understand that I like affection on my own terms. I'm not always in the mood to be picked up, and I may let you know with a tiny hiss - but I'm never far from the action and adore being around my people!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Being fostered alongside other cats, I'm super sociable and would likely enjoy a feline companion! Maybe you'd even consider adopting me with my brother Marmite?
With slow and positive introductions, I may also adapt well to life with a calm, cat-friendly dog.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
