About Marmite

Marmite is a solid-gold lovebug whose huge purr starts rumbling the moment he’s picked up! Ever since being rescued from the streets, he’s fully embraced the soft life; in fact, we’re pretty sure this was his plan all along :)
While he loves wrestling and playing with his sister Vegemite, Marmite's favourite place to be is draped over your shoulder or curled up in the crook of your neck, soaking up all the cuddles he can get. Sweet, affectionate and snuggly, he's more than ready to charm his way into someone’s heart, and home!
Like all Maggie’s pets, Marmite is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'll thrive with a single person, couple or family who likes affectionate and people-oriented cats, and is happy to return all the love I have to give! A calm indoor-only home where I can feel safe, warm and thoroughly spoiled would suit me perfectly.
Another friendly feline to play and wrestle with would be amazing too - but my biggest priority is having my humans close by.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm everything you’d expect from a young kitten - playful, curious, and always on the move (at least until it’s time for a nap). I adore chasing toys, wrestling with my sister and investigating anything new, but once I've burned off some energy, I'm straight back into cuddle mode and looking for the nearest place to curl up.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: There's every chance I'd do well in a family home with gentle, cat-savvy children who understand how to interact respectfully with animals.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Being fostered alongside other cats, I'm super sociable and would likely enjoy a feline companion! Maybe you'd even consider adopting me with my sister Vegemite?
With slow and positive introductions, I may also adapt well to life with a calm, cat-friendly dog.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
