About Freckles
Hi there, my name is Freckles!
I'm a sweet little lady on the lookout for the perfect home full of love and veggies! I dream of living a mostly indoor lifestyle where I can explore my surroundings and cause some piggie mischief!
I may be shy at first so I would love some boxes or tunnels to hide in. Our friendship is sure to develop with slow and gentle daily handling! Once I've settled into my new furever home, you will see how much of a sweetheart I really am! Some guinea pig safe toys will help keep me entertained during the day!
I would love lots of things to do during the day to keep me entertained! I love to run through tunnels and play in boxes! Some piggy safe toys to gnaw and play with will help keep me happy!
I haven't spent much time around small children so if I were to go to a home with kids, they will need to be gentle and respect my space. I do enjoy being stroked and patted, but like most guinea pigs I prefer to do this with my feet on the floor.
I may be suited to a home with a friendly guinea pig companion. We would need a slow introduction to each other in the home to ensure we start off our friendship on the right foot.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
