Hi, I’m Lovebug! I’m a single mum who has survived some tough situations, but I focused on keeping my kittens alive and healthy. Now that my kids have grown up, it’s time for me to enjoy the next chapter of my life as a pet. Time to relax!

I was in an accident during my time on the streets, so my right eye looks a little unusual, and I’m missing part of my tongue. I survived despite this, but it does mean I can be a bit messy when I give myself a bath!

I’ve never had an owner before, so I’m naturally cautious around humans, but I’m warming up to the idea of being pampered. Good things take time, and while I might need a little extra work, I promise I’m worth it!

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I’m still timid around humans, so I may be best suited to a calm, quiet household without young children.

I’m calm and curious when I see other cats, but I haven’t been tested sharing my space with one. I was the boss of my neighbourhood, so I’d probably be best paired with kittens or older boys. I may be territorial with another female cat.

I’ve had a bad experience with dogs. So I’d prefer no dog in the home.

Likes / Dislikes
I love high places where I can look down on my kingdom! I’m not fussy about food, and I enjoy toys that I can bat around, watch roll across the floor, or kick. I’m an excellent hunter, so anything that gives me the thrill of the hunt is perfect for me.

I value my personal space, so I’m not too fond of pats or cuddles just yet (although I’m slowly warming up). Strangers can make me nervous, and I may hiss to let you know I’m feeling anxious, so I’d really appreciate having plenty of hiding spots available.

My PURR-fect home would be with someone ready for the rewarding challenge of helping me learn to trust humans. I’d suit a home where I can be queen of the castle, and I’m happy spending time on my own if my humans need to go to work. I’m fairly low maintenance at the moment, but with a little extra patience and care, I’ll make a wonderful companion.

Medical Notes: Lovebug had cat flu, which is a respiratory infection. She was treated for this and given the all clear by the vet.

Lovebug sustained an injury prior to coming into care which has resulted in her missing a small portion of her tongue. This has healed well and does not affect her ability to eat or groom.
