Hi there! I'm Winston!

I'm a handsome 2 year old Staffy with a gentle heart and so much love to give. I might be a little shy when we first meet, but if you give me a little time, patience, and a few kind words, you'll soon discover I'm a total sweetheart who loves being close to my favourite people.

New things can make me a bit cautious, so I'm looking for a calm, quiet home where I can build my confidence at my own pace. I'll need my new family to help me with ongoing socialisation and show me that new people, places, and experiences aren't so scary. Gentle, positive introductions and lots of tasty treats will help me become the best version of myself!

The shelter can be a little overwhelming, so sometimes I need a bit of encouragement to head out for a walk. But once I'm on my way, I'm lovely on lead and really enjoy spending that one-on-one time with my human.

I'd love a home with a nice big yard where I can play, relax, and watch the world go by. I could also live with another friendly dog, as long as they're social, respectful, and not too boisterous, I prefer friends who like to keep things nice and relaxed.

I'd be happiest with a family that has secondary school aged children who understand that I sometimes need a little space while I'm settling in. My new family will also need to help me learn that handling is a positive thing through gentle, reward-based training.

Once I know I'm safe, my affectionate side really shines. I'll happily trade my shy beginnings for cuddles, companionship, and unwavering loyalty. There's nothing better than earning my trust and watching my personality blossom.
