Hi, I'm Koko.

I'm a sweet girl with a gentle heart, but if I'm honest, the shelter has been a really scary place for me. There are so many new sounds, smells, and people that it can all feel a bit overwhelming. Because of that, I can be quite nervous when I first meet you.

Big, loud movements can make me worried, and I find men especially scary at first. I just need someone who understands that trust takes time. Once I know you're kind and patient, I'll slowly start to let my true personality shine.

I'm looking for a calm home where my new family will let me go at my own pace. I could happily live with older, respectful children who understand when I need a little space. I can also live with a friendly male dog who can help show me that the world isn't such a frightening place.

More than anything, I'm hoping for someone who will see past my nervousness and into the sweet girl underneath. I may not run into your arms on day one, but if you give me time, kindness, and lots of gentle encouragement, I promise every little step forward will be worth it.
