About Bud
Hello there! I'm Bud, and I'm officially accepting applications for my forever family.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR BUD
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM
https://forms.gle/mxa56RyUAHZ2TJfT8
Please Note: You'll only be able to meet Bud if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet.
General:
• I'll need daily exercise - walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• Ongoing training and guidance with basic manners will help me grow into a well-behaved companion.
• I want to be part of the family indoors - not left outside without interaction.
• Secure fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) is essential to keep me safe.
• I'd love plenty of toys and mental enrichment to keep my busy mind occupied.
• Most importantly, I'm looking for lots of love and attention from my family.
• When I get excited, I can be a little bouncy and mouthy, so I can't go to a home with kids under 12yrs.
• Socialisation is just as important as training. Taking me to new places, introducing me to all sorts of people, dogs, and other animals will help me develop into a confident, well-adjusted dog.
• Training, training, training - it's essential that I receive consistent guidance in every aspect of my life so I can become the very best companion.
Dog Compatibility:
• I need to be the only dog in the home as I can be too full on, although I am happy to pass dogs politely on outings and say a quick hello,
Cat / small animal:
• A home without cats would be best for me, as my history with cats is unknown and I may find them fun to chase.
Perks:
• I'm a very playful, happy boy with the cutest little wiggle-butt when I'm excited.
• I'm highly food motivated, which makes training lots of fun and helps me learn quickly.
• I'm gentle and placid in nature.
• Generally a well-mannered dog. I know my basic commands like sit and I'm always eager to learn more.
• I absolutely love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and head scratches, and I'm quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my humans.
• I LOVE toys - especially my ball! Fetch and tug-of-war are some of my favourite games.
Training:
• Once I'm settled, I can walk nicely, but I may pull if something grabs my attention or if I decide I'd like to head in a different direction, so a harness or head halter would really help while I continue my training.
