About Pippy! 🦪
Meet Pippy – The Brave Little 17kg Explorer
Pippy is the most confident of our three rescued Kelpies, but "confident" is all relative! 💛 She's still a very shy, timid girl who's only just beginning to discover that people can be kind.
Born on a rural property, Pippy was bred with the intention of becoming a working dog but has never actually worked stock. Instead, she spent her life tied up on a chain with very little handling or socialisation. Because of this, the world is a big, scary place—but every day she's learning something new.
Pippy is slowly coming out of her shell and is often the first to investigate something new. She's a bouncy young Kelpie underneath her worries and is beginning to show her playful personality once she feels safe.
🏡 Pippy's ideal home:
• Experienced dog owner who has successfully worked with anxious dogs.
• Quiet rural or semi-rural home (no busy suburban streets, apartments or units).
• No children under 18 due to her timid nature.
• Patient family committed to ongoing training and positive socialisation.
• Secure fencing is essential.
Although she's lived on acreage, Pippy hasn't had the freedom most people imagine. She's not house trained, has very little lead experience and is only just learning the basics of being a pet. She'll need someone who enjoys the journey of helping a dog gain confidence.
With time, patience and understanding, we think Pippy has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion. She may even enjoy learning stock work in the future, although this is something she has never been introduced to.
If you're the kind of person who celebrates the little wins—a tail wag, a curious sniff or the first time she chooses to come to you—Pippy could be your perfect project. ❤️
Gentle & quiet, Pippy is looking for an experienced dog home that has trained an anxious dog before. No kids or apartment/unit living. Needs ongoing training, patience and socialisation. Farm background (hasn't worked stock) with very little handling. Adoption $450 includes desex, vaccination, flea/worming & NSW registration.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
