I might not be the first cat you notice when you walk through the shelter. I won't be meowing for attention or climbing the front of my enclosure asking to be picked up. Instead, I'll probably be sitting quietly, watching the world go by and hoping someone sees the gentle soul hiding underneath.

I'm a sweet girl who just needs a little time to feel safe. Life has been a bit confusing lately, and while I may have belonged to someone once, no one ever came looking for me. Now I'm hoping for a second chance with a family who understands that the best friendships are sometimes the ones that take a little patience.

Once I settle in, I enjoy gentle company, soft pats, and having a cosy place to curl up and watch the world from. I'm not looking for a busy household or constant excitement, I'd much rather spend my days in a peaceful home where I can decompress at my own pace and let my true personality come out.

If you're the kind of person who finds joy in earning the trust of a shy cat and watching them slowly come out of their shell, I think we could be the perfect match.

My ideal home:
A quiet, calm household
Patient people who will let me settle in on my own terms
Plenty of cosy hiding spots and sunny windows to relax in
Lots of love, even if it takes me a little while to ask for it

Sometimes the quiet ones have the biggest hearts. I just need someone willing to give me the chance to show it

Antonia is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment.
