About Beau
Joyful" is the best word to describe young Beau. After not a great start to life he is now decided "play" is the best medicine, and he really wants a family to call his own so that his cute and funny personality can shine.
He is inquisitive, bright, affectionate and funny - but this will take time and patience as Beau will be quite timid with new people and new surroundings. This is also where a fur sibling really counts as he needs to learn the ropes being around another dog and feeling that safety. So if you have a resident pup who is friendly, a similar age and size and happy to share their space this might be the perfect match.
Beau has not had a lot of experience with the outside world and lead training is a must for him, but his inquisitive nature should have him conquering this quickly with patience and a few treats.
This darling pooch loves to play with toys and with furry friends. At 1 year old Beau still has his lovely puppy energy but as a bonus he is crate trained should you wish, and also 95% potty trained. Beau is quite the stunner with his chocolate coat and abstract markings. He was recently groomed and coped very well.
He has been a delight to be around in foster care, and he really brightens every day.
Apart from an existing dog in residence, he also needs a household where people are home more often than not. He needs patience with training and a covered outdoor space. He would be suitable for children over 15 yrs due to his recent surgery. See medical notes
Medical notes
Beau is recovering wonderfully from a fractured left front leg, which was surgically repaired four months ago. You'd never know he'd had such a significant injury—he's doing incredibly well!
To ensure he makes a full recovery, his veterinarian has recommended that he continue with gentle, on-lead exercise only for the next month.
As part of his adoption, his new family must agree to take Beau to Yarraville Vet in approximately four weeks for his final follow-up X-ray. This appointment has already been arranged and will be provided at no cost to the adopter.

2. Include as much information as possible and it is never a case of "first in best dressed" when we are choosing the most appropriate new home. Matching an animal with a family is based on lifestyle, family members, attitudes to pet ownership and the personality of the pet;
3. Due to the number of applications we receive, all correspondence is through email and if your application is short listed, we will either call you to discuss it further and possibly invite you to a meet and greet.
