Some dogs come into rescue with only a suitcase of belongings.
Mork and Mindy came with something far more precious...
Each other.
Mork is a 7 year and 8 month old Bichon Frise, and Mindy is a 6 year and 4 month old Bichon Frise. They came into care through a private surrender due to a change in their family's circumstances, through absolutely no fault of their own.
While they are two very different personalities, they share one thing that simply can't be separated...
Their beautiful bond.
You'll find them sleeping together.
Walking together.
Waiting patiently together.
Checking in on one another throughout the day.
Life simply makes more sense when they're side by side.
For this reason Mork and Mindy are looking for a forever home together.
They have spent their lives as a team, and we'd love to see them continue their next chapter exactly the same way.
Mork is the quieter, more laid-back gentleman of the pair.
He's at an age where he appreciates life's simple pleasures.
A comfy bed.
A soft couch.
A toy proudly carried around in his mouth.
A few tasty treats.
And most importantly...
Being close to the people he loves.
Mork enjoys going for little strolls, but he's much more of a "stop and smell the roses" kind of gentleman than a marathon runner.
Because Mork has a heart condition requiring daily medication, his exercise needs to remain gentle and sensible.
His medication keeps him comfortable and allows him to continue enjoying life, and he takes it like the very good boy he is.
When the family heads off on a longer adventure, Mork is quite happy to ride along in a doggy pram, taking in all the sights and smells while leaving the hard work to everyone else. We think he's rather perfected the art of travelling in style. 😆
Mindy, on the other hand, is the social butterfly.
She still enjoys a good walk, absolutely loves sniffing every blade of grass she passes, and can often be found racing around the yard with joyful zoomies after bath time.
She has a wonderfully happy nature and approaches life with quiet confidence.
Together, they balance each other beautifully.
Mork reminds Mindy to slow down.
Mindy reminds Mork that life is still full of fun.
Both dogs are incredibly affectionate and simply want to be wherever their people are.
Whether you're sitting on the couch, working from home, cooking dinner, or relaxing outside, don't be surprised if two fluffy white shadows quietly appear beside you.
They love toys.
They love treats.
They love car rides.
They love curling up on the bed or one of their many dog beds.
And they both believe that no home can ever have too many comfortable places for an afternoon nap.
Both are toilet trained, use a doggy door, and walk beautifully on lead.
They are friendly with other small and medium-sized dogs and have lived happily alongside a cat, who they politely choose to ignore.
While they enjoy canine company, they would be happiest in a calm home without young, boisterous dogs constantly wanting to wrestle.
These two much prefer peaceful companionship over chaos.
As with every white Bichon, regular grooming is part of the package.
Their beautiful coats require routine brushing and grooming to keep them looking—and feeling—their very best.
The family lucky enough to adopt Mork and Mindy won't just be welcoming two dogs into their home.
They'll be preserving a friendship that has been built over years.
Mork's heart condition shouldn't define him.
It simply means he needs a family who understands that daily medication is a small part of caring for a dog who has so much love still to give.
Because when you look beyond the tablets, you'll find a gentle, affectionate little soul whose greatest happiness is simply being beside the people—and the little white dog—he loves most.

- Your current dogs vaccinations up-to-date and have a copy of the certificate to send thru (please contact your vet asap if you don't have a copy)
- Your dog can travel to the carers location
- You are available to attend the meet and greet within the next 7 days

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
