About Coco
đŸ Meet Coco â Your Loyal Shadow and Adventure Buddy đŸ
If you're looking for a dog who forms a truly special bond with her people, Coco could be the one you've been waiting for.
Coco is a sweet, affectionate and slightly cheeky girl who has spent her life as a much-loved companion. She thrives on being close to her humans and is happiest simply sharing your dayâwhether that's heading out for a walk, playing fetch at the park, or relaxing together at home. She absolutely loves chasing a ball or frisbee and would enjoy an active home where she can continue to get regular exercise and enrichment.
One of Coco's most endearing qualities is her gentle, sensitive nature. She forms strong bonds with her people and loves being included in whatever they're doing. She's affectionate without being demanding and is happiest simply being part of family life. Be warned thoughâonce Coco discovers the couch, she'll happily make herself comfortable right beside you!
Around other dogs, Coco is friendly and generally submissive. When she's on a short lead she may bark to let other dogs know she'd prefer a little space, but she has never shown aggression. Given a little room, she's happy to move on and continue her walk. She doesn't rush up to greet other dogs but is happy to make friends when approached politely.
Coco enjoys games of fetch and tug, is fully toilet trained, travels well in the car, and knows several basic commands including sit, paw, lay down, come and drop. When she needs to go outside, she'll politely let you know by tapping on the door with her paw.
Coco can initially be a little cautious with unfamiliar peopleâparticularly menâbut she's never shown aggression. Given the chance to approach at her own pace and have a gentle introduction, she quickly relaxes and enjoys making new friends.
Like many enthusiastic dogs, Coco can become excited when greeting people and may jump up for attention. She is also a strong girl on lead and can pull during walks, so she'll benefit from continued loose-lead training. Her recall is still a work in progress, making secure, enclosed areas the best place for off-lead play while she continues learning.
Coco has settled beautifully into foster care and adapted quickly to a new routine. In fact, she worked out how to use the dog door within just a couple of hours and now happily lets herself in and out on her ownâa great example of how clever and adaptable she is. She has shown she can cope with being left alone for around 5â6 hours when needed, provided she has a secure yard and something to keep her occupied. Coco is an adaptable girl who is happy sleeping either indoors or outdoors and settles well into whatever routine her family has.
She is confident around everyday household noises, although she may have a bark to say about the vacuum cleaner if it comes too close! Coco can also become a little protective of her favourite ball during play, but this has been managed without any signs of aggression.
With her naturally athletic build, playful personality and love of adventure, Coco would suit an active home with a secure backyard and people who enjoy getting outdoors. In return, you'll gain a loyal companion who will happily join you on your adventures before curling up beside you at the end of the day. she can be quite enthusiastic when playing, a home with older, respectful children or adults may suit her best.
Coco is being rehomed through no fault of her own due to her owner suffering unforeseen medical circumstances. This difficult decision has been made with Coco's best interests at heart to ensure she can continue to enjoy the love, care and active life she deserves.
If you're looking for a loving companion who will happily be by your side through life's everyday momentsâand always be ready for one more game of fetchâCoco may be the perfect addition to your family.
