About Peter
This handsome boy is incredibly affectionate and absolutely loves people. If you’re willing to give him attention, Peter will happily soak it up! He has met a young toddler and was gentle and friendly, making a great impression.
Peter gets along well with dogs of all ages and sexes, although he is much more interested in spending time with his humans than playing with other dogs. We have not tested him with cats.
Peter knows several basic commands, including sit, paw, and go to your mat. He enjoys his walks and loves stopping to sniff everything along the way. He can be a little enthusiastic on the lead when he first heads out, but settles nicely as the walk progresses.
In the home, Peter is a well-mannered companion. He sleeps well through the night, lets you know when he needs to go outside for the toilet, and has not attempted to jump or escape fences while in our care. He has also been taught not to jump on couches or beds.
Peter was desexed on 17/06/2026 and has recovered beautifully.
We believe Peter would thrive in a home where someone is around for much of the day, such as a work-from-home household, as he genuinely loves human companionship and being part of daily life.
Peter has completely won over everyone who has met him. He is a sweet, loving boy who deserves a safe, happy home where he can be cherished as a member of the family.
If you think Peter could be the perfect addition to your home, we’d love to hear from you.

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
