About Rowan
๐พ๐ Meet Rowan ๐๐พ
9kg of Cavalier charm, endless enthusiasm, cuddles, zoomies, and a very strong belief that every day should be an adventure. โค๏ธ
At 2 years and 9 months old, Rowan is a happy-go-lucky Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who has come into care through a private surrender due to a change in circumstances, through absolutely no fault of his own.
Since arriving in foster care, Rowan has embraced family life with his whole heart and is now searching for a forever family to call his own.
If you're looking for a quiet little lap dog who spends all day snoozing on the couch...
Rowan would like to politely inform you that he missed that Cavalier memo. ๐
While Rowan absolutely loves cuddles and affection, he is also an active, playful boy who approaches life with enthusiasm and excitement.
His idea of a perfect day includes running around the yard, chasing a ball, investigating absolutely everything, spending time with his doggy friends, going for a walk, and then collapsing on the couch for some well-earned cuddles.
And then probably doing it all again.
This handsome boy is curious about everything.
Every sound.
Every smell.
Every visitor.
Every bird.
Every leaf blowing across the yard.
Life is simply too interesting not to investigate.
Rowan is also quite the conversationalist.
He enjoys announcing when someone arrives home, likes to let you know when he hears a new sound, and believes that greetings should be delivered with enthusiasm.
The good news is that once he settles into his environment and becomes familiar with everyday noises, he quickly learns what deserves commentary and what doesn't.
When it comes to other dogs, Rowan is an absolute social butterfly.
He loves dogs of all sizes and has formed beautiful friendships with his foster siblings.
At night you'll often find him curled up sleeping beside them, and during the day he's usually busy convincing them to join him in another game.
His current best mate is the resident Kelpie, and Rowan has become quite convinced that he too is a hardworking farm dog. ๐
Whether he's racing around the paddock, chasing a ball, or helping patrol the yard, Rowan throws himself into every activity with complete commitment.
Because Rowan genuinely enjoys canine company and gains so much enjoyment from his doggy friendships, we believe he would thrive in a home with another friendly dog to play, cuddle, and share adventures with.
Rowan is wonderful with children and has happily interacted with children from 12 months of age and older. He has a gentle nature and genuinely enjoys being part of family life.
When the adventures are over, Rowan transforms into the affectionate Cavalier everyone dreams about.
He loves cuddling with his people.
He loves curling up on the couch.
He loves being included.
And he loves knowing exactly where his family is at all times.
Food, praise, cuddles, toys, and walks are all excellent ways to win Rowan's heart.
Although if we're being honest, a tennis ball and a walk might just rank slightly above everything else. ๐
Rowan walks beautifully on lead overall, although his excitement for life can occasionally get the better of him and he may pull a little while trying to investigate everything happening around him.
It's all part of his joyful, enthusiastic personality.
Like many young dogs, Rowan is still learning and maturing, but what shines through most is his happy nature.
He wakes up every day excited about life.
Excited about his people.
Excited about his friends.
Excited about whatever adventure might be coming next.
What Rowan is looking for now is a family who will embrace both sides of his personality.
The playful adventurer.
And the affectionate cuddle bug.
A family who will include him in their lives, take him on adventures, throw the ball just one more time, and save him a spot on the couch at the end of the day.
Because underneath all that enthusiasm is a beautiful boy with a huge heart and so much love to give.
๐ If you're looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep you active, and then snuggle up beside you every night, Rowan may just be the perfect addition to your family.
๐พ Ball chaser.
๐ Professional cuddler.
๐ Part-time farm dog.
โค๏ธ Full-time best friend.
