Meet Bigo, a charming Maltese Shih Tzu with a loving nature that is simply irresistible. This sweet and affectionate little girl is a bundle of love, seeking nothing more than to shower her family with affection and receive the same devotion in return. At approximately 6 kg, Bigo is a gentle companion, perfectly sized for lap snuggles and cozy moments. She shares a profound connection with her family and thrives in their loving presence.

Bigo's clever and loyal personality makes her a delightful addition to any household. She enjoys the comfort of being indoors but cherishes the opportunity to explore the great outdoors through a doggie door whenever she pleases. Bigo loves running around a grassy backyard or enjoying peaceful walks with her loved ones.

Her palate is equally discerning, enjoying both Ziwi and Royal Canin kibble during the day, complemented by Ziwi wet food, chicken necks for lunch, and a home-cooked meal for dinner. Bigo has a penchant for chicken jerky and cheese treats, too. Bigo needs regular brushings and professional grooming every 5-6 weeks ensures her coat stays pristine and beautiful.

Bigo's perfect home would be one where she can be a central member of the family, thriving in an environment that provides her with love, attention, and plenty of cuddles.

4. Do you currently have any other animals living with you?
If so, please provide details about each animal, including their species, age, breed and personality, and how they generally interact with other animals.

5. Do you have previous experience with
Bigo’s breed? If not, have you done thorough research into the breed, including its temperament, exercise needs, grooming, training and potential health requirements?

6. Are you familiar with the long-term responsibilities of dog ownership, including training, socialisation, exercise and ongoing care? Are you willing to give
Bigo’s the time, patience and support her need to settle into her new home?

7. How many hours will
Bigo be left alone on a typical day? Who will be responsible for caring for them during your working hours, absences, holidays or other periods when you are unable to be with her?

8. Are you financially and practically prepared to provide Bigo with quality veterinary care, preventative healthcare, grooming and nutritious food throughout her lifetime?

9. Will Bigo be considered a member of your family and primarily live indoors, with appropriate access to a secure backyard/outdoor area? Please describe where she will sleep and how she will be accommodated overnight.

10. If your circumstances change in the future and you are no longer able to care for Bigo, do you agree to contact PFPRI and seek our assistance before making any arrangements to surrender, rehome her?
