About Buster
Meet Buster, the seriously cuddly and charismatic canine who's ready to bring love and warmth into your home. At 7 years young, Buster has an abundance of life to share and is known for his unwavering affection and friendly demeanor. He's the perfect blend of maturity and playfulness, making him an ideal companion for dog-lovers looking for a loyal friend.
Buster is a social butterfly who thrives in the company of humans and other dogs alike. He's well-mannered and housetrained, ensuring that sharing your space with him is a pleasure. And while he relishes companionship, Buster is very comfortable in his own company should you need to step out for a while.
Having overcome a period in his life that required back surgery, Buster has demonstrated incredible resilience and has made a full recovery, leading a normal, active life. Due to his past surgery, he's most suited to a home with carpeted or non-tiled floors and will need to avoid jumping off high surfaces to ensure his continued health.
While Buster isn't a match for homes with young children, he'd be a wonderful addition to a family seeking a loving, low-maintenance furry friend. He's non-destructive, won't chew your shoes, and he enjoys a relaxed lifestyle that includes plenty of snuggles and belly rubs.

Medical notes
Buster had surgery on his back in July 2024. A hemilaminectomy was performed at the L4-5-6 site. He has recovered from this well and leads a normal life. Some easy preventative care needs to be followed, such as not allowing him to jump off high surfaces and not permitting large dogs to jump on him etc. All of which can be managed in a calm and peaceful home. For this reason he is suited to an adult only household, or those with older mature children. Full medical records are held and can be provided to suitable applicants.
Adoption details
We focus on finding the right fit for our dogs and their future families. There is an adoption fee, which is displayed on each dog’s advert.
We offer a 2-week trial period to ensure the match works for both you and the dog, and if it doesn’t, we’ll take them back.
We also have private adoptions available. These dogs may still be with their original owners or in foster care when our shelter is full. Reach out we are happy to help!
