About Ned - 3 Year Old Sphynx
Meet Ned đź–¤
Ned is a very special little guy looking for a very special home.
Ned is a Sphynx cat looking for his forever family. Ned is not your ordinary cat, Sphynx cats are a unique breed with very specific needs, and Ned is looking for someone who either has breed experience or is genuinely willing to learn about what makes these cats so special.
Sphynx cats are known for being incredibly affectionate, people-focused, playful, and often described as “dog-like” in their personalities. They love being involved in their human’s life, crave warmth and comfort, and because they don’t have a traditional coat they require extra care, including being kept indoors, staying warm, and having their skin cared for.
Ned is a sweet, cheeky little personality who absolutely loves attention. He loves chasing toys and anything that moves around the floor, but his favourite place is snuggled up with his person. He loves cuddles and will happily spend his days curled up on your lap. At night, Ned sleeps in bed with his humans and loves to snuggle at their feet he is basically a little hot water bottle, so be prepared to stay warm!
Ned is fully toilet trained and uses crystal litter.
Ned would suit a quiet home where he can feel safe and settled. A house or apartment would both be suitable, as long as he is kept strictly indoors. Ned is not suited to a home with children. He is very unsure around kids and can become overwhelmed by their unpredictable movements and noise. This is not his fault, he simply has not grown up around children and needs a calm environment where he feels secure.
Ned can also be quite a confident and dominant male cat, so another male cat may not be the best match. He may be more suited to a calm female cat, but introductions would need to be done slowly and carefully.
Ned can be a cheeky boy and when he is seeking attention, he may occasionally give a little nip if attention stops. This is easily redirected with a firm “no” and offering him something else to focus on.
Ned is a curious cat and loves to chew things, so his new family will need to be mindful not to leave things lying around that he can eat. He is a little mischievous and will happily investigate anything he shouldn’t!
Ned has been eating Fussy Cat Kangaroo meat and Fussy Cat biscuits (kangaroo or chicken & tuna varieties) his whole life and does well on this diet.
Ned is looking for someone who understands that owning a Sphynx is a commitment they are affectionate, sensitive, indoor-only cats who thrive when they are loved, included, and cared for properly.
If you’re looking for a unique little companion with a big personality, Ned could be your perfect match. 🖤
