About Sonny
Sonny is a handsome young boy searching for his forever family. While he can be a little shy when first meeting new people and experiencing new environments, he has a gentle nature and plenty of potential. Sonny is still learning his lead skills and would benefit from ongoing training to help build his confidence and develop into a well-rounded companion.
With People - He may take a little time to warm up to new people, but with patience and understanding he begins to relax and show his sweet personality. He would be best suited to a home with children who have experience with dogs and can help him settle into family life at his own pace.
With Other Dogs - Sonny enjoys the company of considerate dogs and will benefit from having a calm canine companion in his new home. Positive interactions with other dogs help boost his confidence and provide valuable social enrichment.
Health - Sonny has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped. He is ready to find a loving family to call his own.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
If you are interested in meeting one of the dogs available on our adoption page, please contact City of Salisbury on (08) 8406 8222 or email communitycompliance@salisbury.sa.gov.au, and complete an adoption application.
Once your application has been received, we will be in touch to discuss your application and the next steps. This includes organising a meet and greet so you and the dog can get to know one another.
If there are children or other dogs in your household, we ask that a second meet and greet be arranged. This allows for a dog-to-dog introduction and helps ensure your resident dog is also happy with your choice of companion.
Please note that some dogs may require further training and may be too energetic for families with very young children. Our team will guide you through the best options to suit you and your family and help match you with the right dog.
If everything meets your expectations, we will work with you to complete the required paperwork and payment so you can take your newest family member home.
