Hi, I'm Blue!

I'm a handsome grey Staffy, 3 years old, and I'm looking for a special person who understands that the best friendships take a little time to grow.

When you first meet me, I can be a bit unsure of the world. New people, new places, and too much happening all at once can feel overwhelming, so I'm hoping to find a quiet, adults only home where I can relax, settle in, and build my confidence at my own pace.

The good news? If you're patient and willing to earn my trust, you'll discover what a sweet, loving boy I really am. I form strong bonds with my people and absolutely blossom when I feel safe and understood.

One thing you should know about me is that food is the way to my heart! Treats make learning fun, help me feel more confident, and are especially helpful when it's time to put on my harness. I can be a little sensitive about handling, so taking things slowly and pairing new experiences with tasty snacks works wonders for me.

I love going for walks and am a lovely companion when we're out exploring together. I also enjoy chasing a ball around the yard! Bringing it back, however... well, let's just say I think the game is called "Blue runs after the ball" rather than "fetch." I've also mastered the art of sitting, especially if snacks are involved.

Because I can be sensitive and may be prone to anxiety, I'll need a family committed to continuing my confidence-building journey with gradual, positive introductions to people, dogs, and new environments. Force-free training, patience, and understanding will help me become the very best version of myself.

My ideal home will be:

Adults only
A single-dog household where I can soak up all the attention
Quiet and predictable
Filled with people who are happy to go at my pace and support my confidence
