Cora is a delightful young Australian Cattle Dog with a bright future ahead of her.
Described by her foster mum as smart, funny and outgoing, Cora is still very much a puppy and is at that wonderful age where her personality is blossoming and her confidence is growing every day.
At 15 kg, she is not going to be the biggest Cattle Dog in the dog park, but what she lacks in size she more than makes up for in character. Cora is a cheerful, engaging young dog who loves being involved in whatever is happening around her.
Cora came into care with her sister and, like many littermates, the two girls are overly focused on each other. We believe Cora will progress in leaps and bounds once she has a home of her own where she can develop her independence and build a close bond with her new family.
As a young Australian Cattle Dog, Cora is intelligent, eager to learn and highly people-focused. She will thrive in a home that provides guidance, training, companionship and opportunities to use both her brain and body. She is the sort of dog who will enjoy being included in family activities and will quickly learn household routines.
Cora is affectionate, playful and outgoing, with the happy, enthusiastic nature that makes young Cattle Dogs such rewarding companions.
Because she is still young, Cora will benefit from ongoing training, socialisation and sensible boundaries as she matures into adulthood.

Heartworm Information
Heartworm disease is uncommon in the Southern Downs, so ARK does not routinely heartworm test or administer heartworm prevention to dogs in our care. Should a successful applicant wish to have a heartworm test performed before adoption, we are happy to arrange this.
Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
