About Lightening
Meet Lightning
Lightning is a handsome 4.5-year-old Great Dane looking for a home that understands and appreciates giant breeds. As an extra-large boy, he certainly turns heads wherever he goes, but beneath his impressive size is an affectionate dog who loves nothing more than leaning in for a hug from his favourite people.
Lightning can be excitable when he first meets people or when something exciting is happening, but he settles well once he's had a chance to relax. He enjoys human company and has shown no signs of separation anxiety, making him a great companion for a home where he can be included in daily life.
Like many Great Danes, Lightning comes with a little slobber, so his future family should be prepared for the occasional drooly kiss! He is a strong dog and will need continued training and guidance with his lead manners. His size and strength mean he will be best suited to confident handlers who can continue building his walking skills.
Lightning is looking for a home without cats and is not suitable for families with small children due to his size and enthusiasm. He would thrive with adopters who can provide structure, ongoing training, and plenty of love.

Dogs and cats come microchipped, lifetime registration, desexed, vaccinated and with a 14 day health & trial period warranty (please note that SoCares reserves the right to conduct home and yard checks prior to adoption).
DOG ADOPTIONS: We like to make sure all dogs and their new family (human and four legged) are a suitable match so if you have other dog/s we always book a meet and greet at a time suitable for you to ensure they will get on.
