About Woody
Woody is an adorably sweet little fellow, a mix between a Jack Russell Terrier and perhaps a Dachshund. At just 3.2kg, this tiny guy is a delightful companion with an undeniable charm. Born on March 6, 2026, Woody is still young and full of potential to blossom into a loving member of your household.
Though initially a little shy, Woody will warm up with gentle nurturing and affection. He thrives in a calm and loving environment, making him a perfect match for a quiet, friendly family seeking to add a small and affectionate dog to their lives. He's good with other dogs around his size, so if you have canine companions that fit the bill, Woody will fit right in. While he hasn’t yet been tested with cats, his generally sweet disposition suggests he could adapt well with the right introductions.
Woody's gentle personality paired with his compact frame and adorable demeanor makes him a heart-stealer. If you’re looking for a petite companion to share quiet evenings and explore together on leisurely strolls, Woody may just be the perfect addition to your family. Give him time, patience, and lots of love, and you'll be rewarded with an incredibly loyal and endearing friend.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
