Meet Chicken Nugget, an 8-month-old ginger tabby and white girl with a heart that's still learning that the world can be a safe place. 💛

Chicken Nugget is currently waiting for her special someone at Wat Djerring Animal Facility, and she's hoping that person understands that not every cat is ready to trust right away.

This sweet young lady arrived in our care very frightened of the world, and while she has made some small steps forward, she still finds new people and unfamiliar situations quite overwhelming. Being so young and on her own, Chicken Nugget often chooses the "flight" option when she feels uncomfortable. 🏃‍♀️💨

What Chicken Nugget needs most is a calm, quiet home 🏡 with patient humans who will give her the time and space she needs to settle in at her own pace. She isn't looking for someone to rush her-she's looking for someone who understands that trust is earned one tiny step at a time. 🌱

We know there's a loving cat hidden beneath all that worry. ❤️ With kindness, patience, and plenty of understanding, Chicken Nugget will have the opportunity to discover that life can be full of comfort, safety, and love.

Her ideal family will celebrate the little victories 🎉-the first curious glance, the first relaxed nap, the first time she chooses to sit nearby. Those moments will mean the world.
