Meet Tex 🐾
🐶 Personality:
Tex is great with other dogs and loves the beach, tearing through the water and just being an absolute goof, and when you let him off lead, wow, this boy can move! He is still finding his confidence and does best in a calm and patient home where he can learn that he is safe and loved. He has manners and is a good boy at heart, he just needs the right person to help him shine.
🎓 Training:
Tex walks beautifully on the lead and is attentive and willing to please. He has some manners but is still on his training journey and would thrive with someone keen to continue teaching him. His recall is a work in progress but he is always aware of where you are and keeps an eye out for you. With his intelligence and drive, he will go a long way with consistent and gentle guidance. He has also been joining his foster carer on runs and makes a fantastic running companion!
🏠 Sleeping & Settling:
Tex is happy in a crate during the day or outside, but prefers not to be crated overnight. He is perfectly content to sleep on a big dog bed inside, which tells us he has likely been used to being an inside dog at night. A patient home that can offer him a soft landing and a safe space to decompress will make all the difference for this boy.
🏠 Perfect Home:
Tex needs a calm, patient and experienced home that is committed to ongoing training and building his confidence with kind and positive handling. He loves playing with his foster siblings and would really thrive with a canine companion to call his own. Cats are untested so a cat free home would be ideal for now. With time, consistency and plenty of love, Tex will blossom into the most wonderful companion.
Love & licks!
