About Honeycomb
Honeycomb is a sweet-natured girl who likes to take her time getting to know new people and environments. With patience and a gentle approach, she soon begins to show her affectionate personality and forms strong bonds with those she trusts. Once comfortable, Honeycomb loves sharing cuddles and is always happy to hand out plenty of smooches to her favourite people.
Honeycomb would thrive in a calm, relaxed household with older children who have experience and understanding of dogs. She is best suited as the only dog in the home, allowing her to build confidence and form a strong bond with her family. However, Honeycomb is social with other dogs and can enjoy canine companionship when paired with a calm, patient dog. She will benefit from continued positive training and guidance during dog-to-dog interactions to help her develop her social skills.
This lovely girl has so much potential and is looking for a family willing to give her the time and support she needs to shine. In return, Honeycomb will reward you with loyalty, affection, and plenty of sweet smooches.
To book a meet and greet with Honeycomb, please contact the BARC team by phone or email:
03 5441 2209, BARCreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au
Due to the high volume of emails received, inquiries requesting a specific appointment, and including phone contact details, will receive a prioritized response over generic applications to meet an animal.
(Honeycomb is not ready to leave the shelter yet, Pending Desexing)

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
