About Poppy
Meet Poppy, an 8-year-old whippet whose gentle nature will melt your heart. Currently in foster care, she's been spreading warmth and affection throughout her temporary home, proving to be a loving bundle of joy. Poppy's tender spirit thrives on companionship, and she delights in nothing more than curling up beside her human friends on the lounge, cozily tucked under her favourite blanket.
Poppy gets on wonderfully with other dogs, though she prefers to be the star of the show when it comes to receiving love and attention. Her ideal home would be one where she can shower her new family with loyalty and affection in return for the snuggles and companionship she craves. Poppy has an endearing way of communicating her needs, letting you know when she's ready for cuddles, an outdoor adventure, or a delicious meal. If you are seeking a devoted friend to share your days and your heart, Poppy is eager to find a family to call her very own.

Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
