About Diamond
Hello, I'm Diamond.
My foster family calls me Sweetie, and honestly, I think that suits me pretty well.
I am the kind of puppy who loves people and enjoys spending time with my family, but I am also quite happy doing my own thing. While my sisters are often busy creating chaos and finding new adventures, I can usually be found carrying around a prized stick, relaxing in the yard, or quietly watching the world go by.
Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy playing. I love spending time with my siblings, wrestling, chasing, and joining in the fun. But I am also the quickest to settle down afterwards. I have a nice balance between playful puppy energy and a calm, easy-going nature.
One of my favourite hobbies is finding the biggest stick I can possibly carry. Once I find the perfect one, I proudly parade it around the yard while my sisters try their best to steal it. This often turns into a three-way tug-of-war, but I am not known for giving up easily. If I have claimed a stick, I intend to keep it.
I love people and children and am always happy to soak up attention. New people do not worry me at all. I enjoy saying hello and making new friends wherever I go. My foster family says I have a way of looking at people that melts their hearts, and I admit I have become quite good at it.
I sleep inside in a crate with my siblings and do very well overnight. If I need to go outside, I will let you know. I am also doing well with my toileting and understand that grass is the right place to go when I am outside. Like any puppy, I am still learning the rules when I spend time indoors and need supervision as I continue to grow.
Training is something I find quite easy. I already know how to sit and can demonstrate my skills. Of course, sometimes I decide that chewing on a stick is more important than earning treats, so I like to learn on my own schedule.
I get along well with other dogs, but I am also independent enough to be happy as an only dog. While I enjoy having canine friends, I do not rely on them for confidence. I am comfortable in my own company and quite content entertaining myself.
I have also been introduced to cats, ducks, and chickens. At the moment, I mostly find them interesting to watch. With continued guidance and proper introductions, I could learn to live alongside them.
My foster family thinks that as I grow up, I will become a gentle giant. I think they might be right. I have a sweet nature, a calm heart, and a loyal streak that runs deep.
If you are looking for a puppy who enjoys both playtime and quiet time, who will happily join in family adventures but also relax by your side afterwards, I would love to meet you.
Love,
Diamond
