Hello, I'm Sunshine.

I think the first thing you should know about me is that I absolutely love life.

Every day is an adventure. Every toy is exciting. Every person is a potential new best friend. If something interesting is happening, I want to be right in the middle of it.

My foster family says I have a lot of energy, and they are probably right. I love to run, explore, play, investigate, and occasionally see what sort of mischief I can find. Once I am out of my puppy pen, I like to zoom around the yard and make the most of my freedom. There are simply too many things to see and do.

I adore other dogs and spend my days playing with my siblings and my older dog friend, Bubbles. Wrestling, chasing, and rough-and-tumble games are some of my favourite activities. I am a very social girl and love having canine friends around me.

People are pretty wonderful too. I enjoy meeting new people, and I have loved every child I have met so far. When I get excited, which happens quite often, I can be a little enthusiastic with my greetings. I am still learning that not everyone wants a puppy bouncing up to say hello, but I am improving every day.

When it comes to toys, I am not very fussy. Balls are great. Tug of war is becoming one of my favourite games. But if I had to choose, the squeaky pickle would probably win.

I sleep inside in a crate with my siblings and am very good overnight. If I need to go outside, I will let you know. In fact, I am usually the first one to make sure everyone knows when it is breakfast time, toilet time, or if something important has happened, like an empty water bowl.

I am learning all about puppy life. I am doing well with my toileting and have not had an accident in my crate for weeks. I know that grass is the right place to do my business, and I am getting better every day when spending time indoors. Like most puppies, I still need supervision and guidance while I learn.

Training is an interesting subject. At first, I can be so excited about everything around me that concentrating feels impossible. Then something clicks, and suddenly I am completely focused. Once I know there are treats involved, I am eager to learn and will work hard to earn them. My foster family says I try very hard to do the right thing, even if I can be a little impulsive sometimes.

I have met cats, ducks, and chickens. I mostly find them interesting to watch, although I have not spent much time with them directly. With continued guidance and proper introductions, I could learn to live alongside them.

At the end of a busy day, after all the running, exploring, and playing is done, I love a cuddle. For all my energy and enthusiasm, I am also a very affectionate girl who enjoys pats and spending time with my people.

I am looking for a family who will embrace my adventurous spirit, help me continue learning, and keep both my body and my mind active. In return, I promise plenty of fun, lots of love, and enough personality to keep life interesting.
