Whisky

Whisky is a handsome, bundle of energy, who loves to play and is eager to learn new tricks! He’s highly intelligent, driven and trainable, and wants to impress you with all the commands he knows. He loves people and wants to be around his family, especially inside at night – whether that’s on the couch with you or curled up on his bed. He’s also very loyal to his family, though this means he doesn’t like to share and is best suited to a home without other pets or animals. Whisky’s a smart boy, so he may be able to learn to be calm when encountering other animals. Whisky’s a big boy and loves a big butt scratch or belly rub; while super affectionate, his size means he’s best suited for a family with adults and/or older kids. Whisky is vocal and not afraid to let you know what he wants, whether it’s to go outside or when looking for attention.

Whisky thrives on a structured routine and would be best suited to a home that can give him the time and dedication his working-line pedigree needs.

Unfortunately we are needing to rehome Whisky due to aggression towards our other dog and our cat. We think there is some component of a high prey drive and resource guarding. The guarding does not occur with people, only with our other dog. The only other issue is that he can be reactive towards other dogs on lead, though it is unclear if he is just frustrated because he doesn't get to say hello.
