Meet Baymax!

At just 1 year and 9 months old and already weighing an impressive 43kg, Baymax is a big boy with an even bigger heart.

When Baymax first arrived at the shelter, he was shy, nervous, and unsure of the world around him. New people, new surroundings, and new experiences were all a little overwhelming for this gentle young dog. But with patience, kindness, and time, Baymax has come out of his shell and shown everyone the beautiful soul that was hiding underneath.

Today, Baymax is affectionate, loving, and full of personality. He adores spending time with his people and has a sweet, gentle nature that makes it impossible not to fall in love with him. Despite his size, he's very much a big baby who enjoys companionship and reassurance from those he trusts.

Like many young dogs, Baymax is still learning. He's a bouncy, enthusiastic boy who can be incredibly strong and doesn't always realise just how powerful he is. He can pull hard on the lead when he's excited, so he'll need an owner who can confidently manage his size and strength while continuing his training. The good news is that Baymax is eager to please and has shown himself to be a willing and capable learner.

Baymax would be best suited to a home with secondary school-aged children who can comfortably interact with a large, energetic dog. He is looking for a single-dog household, where he can enjoy all the love and attention for himself. While he can be unsure around unfamiliar dogs, he can build confidence through gradual, positive on-lead introductions.
