About Fred
Where does one even start with Fred?
His foster parents who have fostered over 50 cats/kittens over the last eight years have dubbed Fred to be the number one, best cat to have ever come into their care.
He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, Fred is truly just a living breathing ginger and white cloud with pointy ears and the most gentle yellow eyes. He is sugar, no spice, and everything nice.
He gets along with every cat or kitten he meets and takes the most laidback approach to life - preferring to spend his days sun bathing and evenings loafing on his people.
With such a friendly and soft demeanour it's hard to fathom that Fred had a difficult origin story; he was brought into a vet clinic as a stray due to severe dental disease. Fred's dental disease was so bad that when he tried to eat he would scream and spit the food out and hide as if he had done something wrong. If it were not for the kind member of public who didn't turn their back on a suffering stray, Fred would have no doubt starved to death out in the harsh streets.
Since then Fred has had all his teeth removed and is fully healed and thriving! He's put on much needed weight and most importantly has learnt to love food again - don't let his lack of teeth fool you, Fred loves nothing more than eating kibble for breakfast. His new family will never have to worry about dental care or paying for future dental treatments since he no longer has any teeth.
Another unique feature of Fred's is that he loves a chat around meal time so his new family will have to be comfortable partaking in his breakfast and dinner gossip sessions.
Fred is one in a million and he deserves a family and home to love him and spoil him so much that he forgets about his painful past.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
confirmed FIV/FELV negative
Due to severe dental disease Fred had to have all his teeth removed, this does not impact his quality of life, in fact he still loves to eat kibble!

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
