About Esme
Meet Esme, our beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog and true gentle giant. Esme can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but with patience and kindness she soon warms up and shows her sweet, affectionate nature. She is very people-oriented and loves being close to her humans, often leaning in for attention and enjoying gentle physical affection. As she settles into a home her confidence is likely to grow, and she should quickly become an important part of her new family.
As a large and strong girl, she will need an owner who can comfortably manage her size and strength, and continue her training. Esme has shown good social skills when introduced to other dogs, so she may be able to go to a home with another calm, similarly sized dog, pending a meet and greet on site. Her ideal new home is one with a large secure yard, with indoor/outdoor access so she can regularly be with her new family.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Burwood East site, adoption hours are 10am – 4pm. Walk-ins are welcome, and you can freely walk through our dog, cat and small animal adoption areas.
