From Dee Dee carer
“ ….Dee Dee is doing well. She is like a big dachshund. She is super lovely with any person she meets and demands belly rubs whenever and wherever possible.
On Tuesday I have a full day away at work. She survives, but does not like it and I still can tell the next day. However if I am out for 3 to 4 hours, she seems fine.
She loves walking, she is ok passing by other dogs, if a dogs try to smell her face, she nips. So I started to be a bit more cautious there.
Weight, there is still plenty left. I cannot see a difference at the moment, but I know when they are so heavy, it takes a while to see a difference. ….”
Introducing Dee Dee, a delightful blend of Dachshund and Bull-terrier, with a personality as unique as her appearance! At 6 years old and weighing 18 kg ( soon to be a trim 16kg girl) ) , Dee Dee is a sweet and friendly dog who's ready to bring joy into your life. She's well-prepared for her new family, being desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and wormed. She does need to lose some weight .
Dee Dee is an adaptable canine who's previously lived with a cat and has a history of playing nicely with older children (6 years and up). While she's a friendly companion, she prefers the right kind of canine friends, so her dog interactions can be selective. Her affectionate nature makes her a great fit for a family who understands her needs and appreciates her quirky charm.
With her playful spirit and loving heart, Dee Dee will thrive in a home with a secure fenced yard where she can enjoy her own space to explore safely. She's waiting in Kenmore for a caring family to make her a loving addition to their home. Her adoption fee is $495, a small cost for the happiness she will bring.
If you have a loving home ready for a charming and energetic dog like Dee Dee, she'd love to meet you! She's sure to make a loyal and entertaining companion, full of warmth and affection.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee (per dog) . This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
✅Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
✅We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
✅This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
✅Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
✅Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
✅The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
