Winston is the kind of dog who reminds you that confidence isn't always something you're born with – it's something you build.

This inquisitive, handsome young Kelpie arrived in foster care unsure of the world around him. New people, unfamiliar situations and unexpected noises could leave him feeling cautious. But every day, Winston shows just how far he's come.
What makes him so special is his willingness to try.

Give him patience, encouragement and a little reassurance, and he'll take another step forward. Then another. And before long, you'll see the goofy smile, wiggly excitement and curious personality that have completely won over his foster carers.
Winston is an intelligent dog who genuinely enjoys learning and being involved in everyday life. He loves walks, car rides, sniffing adventures and exploring the world around him. Like many Kelpies, he's observant and thoughtful, taking everything in before deciding how he feels about it.

He's house-trained, crate-trained, travels beautifully in the car and has settled well into a home routine. He enjoys having a safe space to retreat to when he needs it and appreciates people who understand that building trust is a process, not a race.
Winston is looking for someone willing to keep showing him that good things happen when he's brave.

His ideal home will be with patient, understanding people who can continue building his confidence through positive experiences, gentle guidance and consistency. A larger block or quieter suburban environment would suit him well, and he may enjoy the company of a calm, confident canine friend.
