About Maple
Meet Maple!
Looking for a loyal best friend with a heart as sweet as her name? Say hello to Maple, a beautiful 3 year 9 month old German Shepherd who is ready to find her perfect forever home!
Maple is a friendly girl who enjoys making connections with her favourite people. She already knows how to sit on a verbal cue and is highly motivated by treats, which she takes ever so gently from your hand. Her love of snacks and eagerness to engage make her a wonderful candidate for ongoing force free training and enrichment activities.
While Maple is a big fan of people, other dogs can make her feel a little fearful so she's looking for a home that understands her preference for keeping her canine circle small. She's happiest with respectful space from canine companions and would thrive as the only dog in the home where she doesn't have to worry about interacting with unfamiliar dogs.
With patient support and positive experiences, she's continuing to grow in confidence and is ready to share her big heart with a family of her own. Maple could live with secondary school aged children who can help her continue building confidence and respect her space when needed.
Maple can be a little unsure about handling, so she'll thrive with patient adopters who are happy to move at her pace and focus on creating positive experiences. She is currently working on calmly ignoring other dogs, and her future family will need to continue reinforcing this skill through positive, reward based training.
In return, Maple offers plenty of potential, companionship, and those classic German Shepherd qualities of intelligence, loyalty, and devotion. Whether you're heading out for an adventure or relaxing at home, Maple is ready to be your faithful sidekick.
If you're looking for a bright, friendly companion and are excited to continue her training journey with kindness and consistency, Maple could be the perfect addition to your family!
