Scrappy is a handsome 7-year-old Foxy x Dachshund with a big personality packed into a little body. Recently desexed and recovering beautifully, this lovable little man is ready to find a home to call his own.
Scrappy reminds me of a grumpy old man in the best possible way! He loves a good nap, enjoys doing his own thing, and is always up for a chat when he has something to say. He has a patient nature and is happy to relax around the house, but he also enjoys his daily walks and adventures!
He knows how to sit and gets very excited when it’s time for a walk—he’ll practically jump into your arms to have his vest and lead put on! Scrappy is also highly motivated by treats and never misses an opportunity for dinner time.
Scrappy is fantastic with people and enjoys human company. He gets along well with other dogs, although he’s confident enough to let them know when he’d like a bit of personal space. He is reportedly toilet trained, though he has had a few accidents indoors while settling into foster care.
One of Scrappy’s special talents is mastering the puppy-dog eyes. If there’s a treat or cuddle on offer, he’ll know exactly how to convince you! He is a sweet, affectionate, and lovable little companion who would make a wonderful addition to a home looking for a dog with plenty of character.
