About Frank & Lucy - 5 Year Old Dachshund
Frank and Lucy - bonded pair who will love you to bits!
Frank and Lucy just the cutest little duo with such gentle souls. They come as a package deal because of their shared past and their special bond. Lucy is the sweet, timid and shy one of the pair who loves to snuggle and is happiest on your lap or in your bed. Frank is her brave protector who looks out for her at all times. Frank’s soft side comes out as soon as he gets to know you, then he's all about the tummy rubs and sharing the lounge with you and Lucy.
They were sadly surrendered as an obese pair and have since shed the extra kilograms through exercise and fresh food in their foster home. They would love to continue a fresh food diet for continued health and weight control.
Frank and Lucy would prefer someone at home as much as possible but can be left for outings and workdays if they aren't consecutive or long days. Hybrid workers would be ok.
Lucy is completely toilet trained while Frank, true to his Dachshund breed needs a gentle reminder to go outside, especially on frosty mornings. They sleep through the night inside in their bed, although would be happy to share a human bed and snuggle under the doona. They are inside dogs and must be allowed inside.
Frank and Lucy walk well on lead, they love their daily walks and sniffaris around the neighbourhood. They’re great with kids 4 and older who are dog savvy and know not to pick them up. They have not been tested with cats and would not be suitable for a home with chickens or pocket pets.
This sweet pair are just as happy playing in the back yard with their human siblings or snuggling up on the sofa.
