🌸 Meet Poppy 🌸
Some dogs simply have a way of stealing your heart... and Poppy is one of them.
Quite honestly, she is one of the most beautiful girls, both inside and out.
Poppy wasn't even meant to arrive at the Village. She hopped aboard the freedom bus by accident, but from the moment she arrived she has embraced every new adventure with enthusiasm, proving that sometimes the best surprises are the unexpected ones.
Poppy has settled beautifully into foster care. She is toilet trained, loves her daily walks, and has found the perfect balance between fun and relaxation. During the day you'll find her happily entertaining herself in the yard, snoozing on the lounge, or curled up in the office keeping her foster carer company. She does have her hilarious "mad moments" where she races around full of excitement, before happily settling down for the evening around 6:30pm and sleeping soundly through the night.
She is an incredibly loving girl who enjoys being close to her people. She's also making great progress with her lead manners and is becoming much more polite on her walks every day.
One thing Poppy absolutely adores is other dogs. In fact, she gets so excited to meet them that her enthusiasm can sometimes be a little overwhelming! We suspect she may have had a canine best friend in her previous life because she seems desperate to make new doggy friends wherever she goes.
Like many young dogs, Poppy is still a little cheeky too. Leave something within reach and she'll happily claim it as her newest treasure before trotting outside to investigate (or chew!) it. She'll certainly keep you on your toes and provide plenty of laughs along the way.
Poppy is ready to find a family who will continue to guide her, enjoy her playful spirit, and give her all the love she so willingly gives in return.
If you're looking for a loyal companion with a beautiful heart and a fun-loving personality, Poppy could be the perfect addition to your family.

At Village Tails, we strive to make the adoption process as seamless as possible. We understand that bringing a new pet into your home is a big decision that will enrich your life in countless ways. That’s why we’ve developed a clear, step-by-step guide to help you find your perfect match and provide a loving home for one of our precious animals. Our dedicated team is here to support you every step of the way, from your initial interest to the joyful day you bring your new friend home.
How to Adopt: A Step-By-Step Guide:
1. Browse Our Selection: Visit our Animals page and use the menu to view the various pets we have available. Choose between cats and dogs to narrow your search.
2. Expression of Interest: Found a pet that captures your heart? Reach out to us for an Expression of Interest (EOI) form to initiate the process.
3. Patience is a Virtue: We meticulously review every EOI to ensure each animal goes to the right home. Thank you for your patience during this critical stage.
4. Meet Your Potential Pet: If your EOI is approved, we'll organise a Meet & Greet session. It’s a great opportunity for both you and the animal to see if it’s a perfect match.
5. Adoption Application & Home Review: If you're ready to move forward, you'll need to complete our adoption application and agree to a home review.
6. Review & Approval: Your application and home review will be assessed to guarantee a secure, loving environment for your potential pet.
7. Adoption Fee: Upon approval, you'll be required to pay the non-negotiable adoption fee. This fee directly supports our animal care efforts.
8. Welcome Home: Once the fee is processed, we'll coordinate the special day when you can bring your new pet home.
