🐈 Cats- Yes please! Must go to a home with a resident cat or be adopted with another of our cats or kittens
🐶 Dogs- Mariah has spent some time around a calm dog and has shown interest, she would likely be very happy in a home with a cat-friendly dog

Mariah is a sweet girl absolutely brimming with affection and love. She adores her humans and will snuggle you like it's her full time job, bringing along her enthusiastic purr motor for the ultimate therapeutic experience.
At home, Mariah loves being wherever her people are. Bedtime cuddles are one of her favourite things, and she'll often choose to sleep curled up near your chest or neck. She's also remarkably attuned to her humans and seems to have a special sixth sense when someone isn't feeling their best. Her carer has noticed that Mariah becomes particularly focused on her foster mum's sister when she is experiencing a migraine - sniffing around the affected side of her face before settling herself close by, often curled around her neck and throat, purring away. It's as though Mariah knows when her favourite human needs some extra comfort, and she takes her role as a tiny, furry support person very seriously.
When she's not busy snuggling, you'll find her entertaining herself with crinkle balls, springs, tunnels, cardboard boxes, and even the occasional rogue tissue.
Mariah has impeccable litter habits and a healthy appetite, happily enjoying her meals without any fuss.
Mariah would be best suited to a home with children who can understand her body language and respect her boundaries when she needs a little space. In her foster home, she shares her days with two rambunctious boys (aged 4 and 8) and generally copes very well with family life. She happily welcomes gentle pats and playtime, provided interactions are calm and respectful.
Mariah is looking for a patient and understanding family who can appreciate that big changes can feel overwhelming and who will give her the time she needs to settle in. Once she feels safe, her loving personality shines through beautifully.

Please email us at adoptions@heartandsoulrescue.com.au if you are interested in adopting one of our precious souls, and we will send you our Adoption Application Form 💛
Once we have received your completed application, we will contact you to discuss suitability. If we feel one of our cats or kittens may be the right match for you, we will then arrange either a home visit or request a short walk-through video of your home.
If all goes well, we offer a 2-week trial period to ensure your new cat or kitten is the right fit for your family 🐾
Conditions apply. Heart & Soul Rescue reserves the right to decline a full refund if recommendations and care requirements regarding your adopted cat or kitten have not been followed during the 2 week trial period. A 25% administration fee applies if a cat or kitten is returned during that time.
Heart & Soul Rescue is a volunteer-run, non-profit charity. We receive no government funding and rely entirely on donations and fundraising to cover our vet and rescue costs.
