About Stella
Meet Stella a beautiful tabby girl who just wants a job. Shes not one for snuggles or politeness, she just wants to do what cats do best. Catch critters, hang around and use the litter tray if that’s what is expected.
Stella: the pros:
- she will follow you around like a dog when you are outside
- she wont wander off: once she knows where she is meant to be she sticks to an invisible boundary and doesnt go exploring far and wide
- she is happy to greet people and rub up against them and act like a nice smoochy cat on her terms
- she is good at catching pests : mice and rabbits
- she is a good "guard" cat
- she is an independent, not needy cat
- she will happily be an inside/outside cat if you expect nothing of her when she is inside the house
- she has lots of personality
The cons
- she is a terrible "shed" cat. She is happy outside but prefers to be closer to her people (on her terms) if you expect her to stay solely in the shed not near the house she has other ideas
- she acts all smoochy and nice but will bite or swipe at you with no warning when she has had enough
- her personality comes with a sense of humour
At first she will need to be kept in an enclosed environment where she is fed so she knows where to come back to. She will need someone who will understand her cat boundaries when getting to know her and not to expect too much. She loves her food so will smooch and rub against you for her food but take too long and she will let you know.
She had lived in a house where she was happy with the occasional pat but preferred to be allowed to roam when it suited her.
