I'm a sun-loving snuggle bug, and if you let me, I'll absolutely steal your heart!
Since coming into foster care, I've really come out of my shell. I'm eager to please, toilet trained, and I know how to sit and stay while my dinner is being served. I can even give a high five when treats are involved (which, let's be honest, is one of my favourite things!).
I'm a big fan of being a passenger princess and would love to join you on car adventures. I also enjoy getting out for walks. I'm still working on staying calm around some dogs, so I may be happiest as your one and only furry friend. If you already have a dog, a meet-and-greet can be arranged to see if we're a good match.
I think I'd be best suited to a home with mature/teenage kids. You see, when I'm happy (which is often!), my tail gets wagging at full speed and packs quite a punch. Little humans might find themselves caught in the tail-wag danger zone!
I've had quite the journey. After finding myself in the pound, I came into foster care heavily pregnant and raised six beautiful puppies. They've started finding their forever homes, and now that my mum duties are done, it's finally my turn.
My absolute favourite thing in the world is cuddling. I'll gently rest my chin on your shoulder and snuggle right in for the warmest, sweetest hugs. Foster Mum says it's impossible not to fall in love with me when I do that.

Delilah's adoption fee is $600 which includes her desexing. She has been vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Delilah is in foster care in Chittaway Bay, NSW. Since she is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
