About Kiara
Meet Kiara 💛
Kiara is a gorgeous girl with a loving, affectionate nature and a heart full of warmth. She is the sweetest soul who adores her people and has a wonderful balance of being both a devoted companion and a playful young cat at heart. You’ll often catch her joining in on zoomies with other cats, showing that beneath her gentle, nurturing personality is still a kitten who loves to have fun.
Having recently raised her six babies with incredible patience and care, Kiara is now ready to find a forever home of her own. She has been a truly amazing mother, and now it’s her turn to be looked after and cherished.
Kiara is incredibly affectionate and people-focused. She will often nudge for attention, happily soaking up pets and companionship whenever she can. A big purrer at heart, she especially loves chin scratches and will gladly lean into every bit of affection she receives. She also enjoys being close to her humans and is happiest when she feels included in daily life.
She has a lovely mix of being both velcro and independent — content to relax nearby or curl up in a cosy bed, but always ready to come over for love when she wants connection. Her favourite spots include soft, fluffy cat beds and snuggling up on the bed with her people.
Playtime is still very important to Kiara. She enjoys ping pong balls, ball towers, and anything she can bat around or chase. Despite her calm and loving nature, she still has a playful spark that comes out regularly, especially around other cats.
Kiara enjoys a generally calm environment. She doesn’t need complete silence, but she would not thrive in a very loud, chaotic household. She does best in a home where she can feel safe, relaxed, and part of the family routine.
She would love a home with another friendly, playful cat — especially her daughter Sarabi — or a companion she can bond and play with. Kiara would not be suited to being a solo cat, as she thrives on feline companionship as well as human affection.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is as follows:
1. Submit an adoption application via our website at www.rescuecatsofmelbourne.com.au/adopt
2. We will be in touch with you within 48 hours if we wish to progress your application.
3. A meet and greet will then be organised so that you can meet your potential new family member!
4. Upon a successful meet and greet, an adoption day will be set for you to come and collect your new family member and sign all required paperwork
All of our cats come de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, worm treated and with a clean bill of health.
Our 10-Day Health Guarantee: We want you to feel confident in your new family member’s health. We offer a 10-day cooling-off period specifically for health-related concerns. If your kitten shows signs of a pre-existing illness (such as a respiratory infection or parasite) within the first 10 days of arriving home, please contact us immediately. During this window, you have the option to return the kitten for a full refund or work with our rescue team to ensure the kitten receives the necessary care. We are committed to transparency and the wellbeing of our cats.
