Meet Benji!

Benji is a truly handsome, playful, sweet, and loving boy who is ready to find his forever family. Currently sharing his home with another dog and a cat, he's a social butterfly who thrives on companionship. Benji is a master of relaxation, loving nothing more than to lounge on the couch. He even knows "place" to jump right onto his favorite spot! Want to earn extra brownie points? Wrap him up like a burrito in a blanket – this cozy guy just loves to be snuggled.

This friendly beagle is quite the socialite, attending doggy daycare once a week where he absolutely adores playing with all his friends. When he's at home, chew toys are his absolute favorite; he'll happily pick one up and chew contentedly indoors. Benji is a smart cookie too, knowing basic commands like sit, drop, shake, and place. He sleeps beautifully in his crate all night long and is both toilet and doggy door trained. Just a little heads-up: Benji does have a soft spot for slippers because they smell like his favorite people, so they're best kept out of reach when he's home alone!

True to his beagle roots, Benji is an avid sniffer and explorer who loves going for walks and runs. He can get a little overexcited and bark when he sees other dogs on walks, but with continued positive training and treats, he's making great progress learning to focus on his human. Benji would thrive in a home with another calm but playful dog, and he'd absolutely love a yard to zoom around in. He is also fondly known as ‘the king of sploots’ 😂

When he first came into our care, Benji experienced some separation anxiety, but he's come incredibly far and can now be comfortably left alone at home. He is currently on Zactin, which has helped him immensely, and his new family will receive all the details about his successful routine.
